Bambu Lab PLA Basic Gradient Filament 1.75mm 1kg
PLA Basic's everyday reliability with a two-tone gradient built into the strand — same easy printing, same speed, just a smoother, more dynamic finish than a flat single colour. A good starting point if you want something more visually interesting than Basic without stepping up to a specialty material.
Bambu tested this colourway separately from standard Basic, and it comes out with noticeably better impact strength and Z-layer toughness on top of the usual PLA Basic ease of printing — likely down to how the two materials layer through the strand.

Worth knowing
Because the gradient runs along the strand rather than across it, taller prints will show more of the colour transition than short, wide ones. If you want to control exactly where a colour lands, test-print at a smaller scale first — the transition point isn't adjustable per print.
Storage
Bambu specifies under 20% RH, sealed with desiccant. A sealed box with fresh desiccant does the job, or a filament dryer if you have one. Drop a cheap hygrometer in the box so you're not guessing.
As filament takes on moisture you'll hear popping or hissing at the nozzle, then see stringing and rough surfaces, and eventually the strand goes brittle enough to snap in the tube. That's almost always moisture, not technique. Dry it at 55°C for 8 hours and it usually comes back.

Mechanical
Figures from the Bambu Lab PLA Basic technical data sheet v2.0. Impact strength was tested specifically for the gradient colourway, which Bambu notes retains PLA Basic's usual performance while giving stronger toughness and Z-layer strength. Real-world results vary with printer, settings and model geometry.
