ColourIridium Gold Metallic (13400)

PLA Metal blends metallic pigments into the filament for a genuine metallic shine — a professional, high-end finish that reads as brushed or polished metal rather than plastic. Five tones: Iridium Gold, Oxide Green, Cobalt Blue, Iron Gray, and Copper Brown.

It keeps almost all of PLA Basic's print behaviour and mechanical performance — no nozzle restrictions, no special hardware. You're swapping the finish, not the printing experience.

Worth knowing

Metal prints almost exactly like PLA Basic — same nozzle sizes, same mechanicals within a few percent, no clogging caveats. The metallic shine comes from pigment rather than an abrasive filler, so there's nothing extra to work around here beyond the usual moisture care.

Storage

Bambu specifies under 20% RH, sealed with desiccant, and 55°C for 8 hours before printing. A sealed box with fresh desiccant does the job, or a filament dryer if you have one. Drop a cheap hygrometer in the box so you're not guessing.

As filament takes on moisture you'll hear popping or hissing at the nozzle, then see stringing and rough surfaces, and eventually the strand goes brittle enough to snap in the tube. That's almost always moisture, not technique. Dry it at 55°C for 8 hours and it usually comes back.
