See-through PLA with a frosted, light-diffusing quality rather than glass-clear transparency. Light passes through and scatters instead of shining straight through, which is exactly what you want for anything with an LED behind it — lampshades, lanterns, signs, nightlights.

Worth knowing

Dry it before printing, even straight out of a fresh bag. Moisture shows up as tiny bubbles trapped in the print, and on a see-through material those bubbles scatter light unevenly and dull the effect you're printing it for.

Bambu caps recommended print speed at 150mm/s for this line — noticeably slower than Basic — because pushing it harder starts to show in the surface finish, which matters more here than on an opaque filament since light passing through will highlight any inconsistency.

Wall thickness changes how much light gets through and how even the glow looks, so it's worth doing a quick single-wall test on a new design before committing to a full print, especially for anything lit from one side.

Storage

Bambu specifies under 20% RH, sealed with desiccant. A sealed box with fresh desiccant does the job, or a filament dryer if you have one.

As filament takes on moisture you'll hear popping or hissing at the nozzle, then see stringing and rough surfaces, and eventually the strand goes brittle enough to snap in the tube. That's almost always moisture, not technique. Dry it at 50°C for 8 hours and it usually comes back.
