Bambu Lab Support for PLA/PETG Filament 1.75mm 500g

The dual-material break-away support — the only one in the range that works with both PLA and PETG. One spool covers the two most common filaments, and it peels off by hand with no tools.

If you only print PLA, buy Support for PLA instead. That is Bambu's newer formulation, developed specifically as an interface layer and optimised for easy peeling — it releases more cleanly than this one. It is also $5 cheaper and prints at twice the speed. This spool earns its place when PETG is in the mix.

Choosing a support

This one — the only break-away support that covers PETG as well as PLA. Buy it if you print both, or if PETG is what you print.

Support for PLA — PLA only, but the better peel and the better price. The default if you never print PETG.

Support for ABS — for ABS and ASA, which run too hot for this material.

Support for PA/PET — for the nylons, PET-CF, PPA-CF and PPS-CF.

PVA — dissolves in water, for geometry you physically cannot reach.

Worth knowing

Bed temperature is the setting to watch. 35–60°C is lower than you'd run PETG at, so if you're printing PETG with this support the profile has to accommodate both.

Print speed up to 100 mm/s — half what Support for PLA manages, so a support-heavy model will take noticeably longer.

Dry at 75°C for 8 hours if it's been open a while; it absorbs about 1%. Cooler than most materials, so don't put it in at 80°C with your nylon.
